Dr. Morris began his academic career in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE)at WVU in 1986. He had previously worked as an engineer in the petroleum industry and rocket motor industry. He has developed expertise in instrumentation, aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion systems, emissions measurements, and rocket propulsion. From 1995 to 2001 he served as an Associate Chairman and Graduate Program Director for MAE. In January 2002, he was appointed as Interim Chairman of MAE.
