W. Steve Lewellen has been Research Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at WVU since 1993. He previously was Research Professor of Physics and Atmospheric Science at Drexel U for 5 years. Over 17 years at Aeronautical Research Associates of Princeton, he held a number of positions including Senior Vice President. As leader of an Environmental Research Group, he concentrated on the development of turbulent transport models for the numerical analysis of a wide variety of fluid dynamic problems. He has been principal investigator on research contracts and grants supported by the Office of Naval Research, National Science Foundation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Defense Nuclear Agency, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Energy Research and Development Administration, and the Electric Power Research Institute. His research results are detailed in over 100 publications.
