The MAE department requires each applicant to the graduate program to submit the following documentation in addition to the standard items required by WVU.
GRE scores for USA/ABET graduates: Applicants who have received their undergraduate degree in the USA or from and ABET accredited program are not required to submit GRE Test scores; however, these scores are required to become eligible for certain fellowships and for the option of direct B.S. to Ph.D. degree track; if you had already taken the standardized GRE Test, please send a copy of the scores to the MAE department, as part of your application for admission into the graduate program. GRE scores for International graduates: International applicants who have not received their undergraduate degree in the USA, or from an ABET accredited program are required to submit GRE Test scores with their application. However, international Ph.D. applicants who cannot meet this requirement may be considered for provisional admission status if other qualifications are outstanding; such students will be expected, usually, to take the GRE Test and earn acceptable scores during their first semester of graduate studies in the MAE department, in order to be reclassified from “provisional” to “regular” status; students who fail to meet this condition may be suspended from WVU.References: Three reference letters must be filed for each applicant on standard MAE Reference Forms and sent directly to the Graduate Office of the MAE department (Download MAE Reference Form below). At least two of the three references should be provided by the institution the applicant last attended.
Applicant Information Form: All applicants are required to complete the Applicant Information Form (Download MAE Applicant Information Form below). A short resume needs to be attached with this form.
