As a requirement for graduation in the Mechanical Engineering (ME) degree program at WVU, senior engineering students must complete a senior design project. This 2-semester project is divided in to two classes MAE 471 in the fall semester and MAE 472 in the spring semester for a total of 6 credit hours of degree credit. Aerospace Engineering (AE) majors take MAE 475, Flight Vehicle Design, as their capstone design course.
